I'll come back. When you call me. No need to say goodbye.

When I was young I went to war. Not that kind of war. But war nevertheless. War with myself and with people who wanted me to conform to society. The first foreign country I lived in was Japan. Not only that, it was the first time I went onboard of a plane. I never took a flight until I reached 20 years old. So there I was, young, innocent and naive. Little that I knew that I went straight to war that day . War of the Worlds.

On board I met a Flight Steward. He was a Celebrity (tak boleh cakap nama). Those days, many flight crews were celebrities, (Ziana Zain, Cik Ta, Amy Mastura etc etc ) - ok my batch la tu kira ....

My arwah dad, asked me to board the flight dengan kadar segera (I didnt know why, could be he was scared I would miss the flight or I might go to the wrong flight?) Probably.

So off I went, when I reached the departure door, I asked timidly "is this flight going to Narita?"

They smirked and said "yes'. maybe thinking which 'kampung' this girl came from. So I went on ahead and took my seat. The flight was half empty. No one was beside me. So I went on to cry, since no one was around me and I got 3 seats to myself . I cried because this was the first time I went far, far away from Malaysia. Negaraku and with lotsa salary, mind you! How I got it, was another story (because I was a very convincing person then and now ).

So then, this Celebrity Steward came and asked me things, gave some pick up lines and all (not that I got it) . I stopped crying and entertained him (alright I was 20 okay!) . Then, he gave me 2 bags full of packet and can drinks and all kind of things from the aircraft. A bribe? gifts of some sorts? He asked me where I stayed. (Okay my head still didn't register) .

My God! why the hell did I accepted the bribes? The gifts, anyway? Because they were so heavy. I have to carry my bags and the stupid drinks off the aircraft and really struggled with them. Dumb girl! Okay , then, when I reached the Narita Airport, I looked for a Japanese man holding the playcard 'MISS FIEXA ALI' - Yup my name was spelled like that even during school time . The Japanese was to be my Driver.

So off I went to Roponggi, the most expensive town in Tokyo. I stayed in Ibis Hotel (not Iblis Hotel). Everything was tiny and clean in Japan! I was tiny then too. yahoooo ! and then ....

Mr Celebrity Steward came to my Hotel. Seriously? What the F? You got it? You knew what he wanted right? I was this cute young girl. Mind you. I might be very naive but I wasn't stupid either, so I said, you missed the train? so? THE END.

You could be Mr Celebrity Steward but I wanted a fairy tale. Fairy tale did not have you in it, kind sir ? (later on in life, I still screwed up but how else could one spiced up their life other than making as many mistakes, right? right! )

hmmmm after that he pretended that he didn't know me at all ... I became Celebrity myself later on in life too... I watched him years later on TV . He was way, looking older ...

This was one of my first war. I got more :)
